Fees for selling a property are changing this November
Since we opened in 2006, we’ve focused on improving real estate tech and helping people take control of their property marketing. For several years, we have kept our price the same. However, as we all know, strong inflationary pressures have emerged recently in the Australian and worldwide economies, impacting the cost of server hosting, supplies, and wages. Realestate.com.au have also been particularly aggressive, hitting us with double-digit price increases annually.
To ensure we can keep delivering you a quality service with ongoing improvements and additions in the long term, we need to raise ‘for sale’ listing prices from 2nd November. The core service fee will increase by about 15%, in line with CPI increases for Australia over the last 6 years. The new cost will be $794 including GST. There is no change to our extras or rental pricing.
For any customers with currently active listings, you have will not be at all affected. Your service is until sold and no further fees are payable.
If you intend to list another property for sale and would like to lock in the current price, simply login to your account, add a new property and check out before 2nd November. The listing will stay pending within your account and can be listed anytime you’re ready.
While our fee has remained the same over the last several years, we’ve consistently invested to bring you improvements and additions, including:
- A ground-up rebuild of the listing creation and management user interface
- Online offer submission form
- Instant API connection to Realestate.com.au/Domain so that your activation and any changes take only minutes
- API capture of enquiries to rule out any errors using the old address-matching system
- Integration to allow for private inspection timeslot advertisement and booking
- Instant quote tool for realestate.com.au upgrades
- One-click order of a variety of extras
- Rebuild of phone enquiry system to automate phone recordings, eliminating delays and potential human error
- Pre-approvals for identity and rates eliminating delays when you want to go live.
We have also invested heavily in our staff. We will never outsource any of our customer support. So whenever you reach out to us, you’ll continue to speak with a local Aussie who’s been working in this industry for at least ten years. And you’ll continue to be able to reach us every day of the week. Our reviews are a testament to how important this is.
As a proud 100% Aussie and independently owned small business, we greatly appreciate your continued support. We look forward to continuing to work closely with you, listening to any feedback and development requests you may have, and providing the support and service that helps you succeed.
